Glyco Reset Liver Safety: What the Green Tea Reports Do and Do Not Show
Glyco Reset liver safety has not been tested, but green tea extract, one of the 21 blend names, has liver injury reports at much larger amounts than 200 mg. LiverTox describes cases at about 800 mg to 1.8 g of extract a day. The label prints no green tea amount. Stop and call a doctor for yellow skin or dark urine.

The reports01
What do the green tea liver reports say?
LiverTox lists more than 100 clinically apparent cases of liver injury linked to green tea extract, most with high-EGCG products (LiverTox, Green Tea).
The cases fall at about 800 mg to 1.8 g of extract a day, and all three detailed cases recovered. The injury is rare and not tied to caffeine. NCCIH says liver injury is uncommon but has been reported with extracts (NCCIH, Green Tea).
These are reports about other products. They do not show that the drops harm the liver, and they do not show that they do not.
The amounts02
How does a 200 mg blend compare with those amounts?
The whole blend is 200 mg across 21 names, so green tea extract cannot exceed 200 mg, which is a quarter of 800 mg.
That is arithmetic, not a safety rating. The label does not say how much green tea is inside, and the trials and cases involved a different product, group and time span.
The comparison. NIH describes a 1997 trial of 1,000 mcg a day of chromium picolinate in adults with type 2 diabetes. The Adequate Intake is 20 to 35 mcg. (NIH ODS, Chromium fact sheet for professionals)
Read it with care. The studied amount comes from a different product, group and time span. It is not a recommended or effective dose, and no trial tested Glyco Reset.
The comparison. LiverTox gives a typical gymnema supplement amount of 400 mg three times daily. The label's 200 mg is shared by twenty-one names. (LiverTox, Gymnema)

Each full bar is the daily amount used in the one study or reference we cite. The filled part is the most the label could give per dropper: the whole 200 mg blend is shared by 21 names, so any one plant is a fraction of that. The label also does not say whether each name is a powder or an extract, so even this comparison is rough.

Warning signs03
What signs of liver trouble should you watch for?
Yellow skin or eyes, dark urine, pale stools, belly pain, unusual tiredness and nausea are the common warning signs of liver trouble.
If any of them appears after you start a supplement, stop and call your doctor. Bring the bottle. Sloan Kettering notes a green tea label caution, "Do not use if you have a liver problem," for some products (MSK, Green Tea (About Herbs)).
- Yellow skin or eyes, or dark urine: stop and call a doctor the same day.
- Belly pain, pale stools or lasting nausea: call your doctor.
- Confusion or severe weakness: seek emergency care.
Who should ask first04
Who should ask a doctor before using the drops?
Anyone with liver disease, anyone who takes medicines that strain the liver, and anyone who drinks alcohol heavily should ask first.
Keep taking prescribed medicine, and tell your doctor and pharmacist about every supplement.
See the green tea and guarana page and side effects. Glyco Reset is the example here; no liver study exists for it.

FAQ06
Glyco Reset questions people ask
Can Glyco Reset damage the liver?
No study tested it, so we cannot say. Green tea extract, one of its 21 names, has liver injury reports at much larger amounts. Ask a doctor first if you have liver disease.
How much green tea extract is in a dropper?
The label prints no amount. The blend totals 200 mg for 21 names, so green tea is at most 200 mg. That is an upper limit, not a measured value.
Should I get liver tests before starting?
Your doctor decides. Tell them you plan to take a blend with green tea extract and bring the label. Do not take it if you already have liver trouble.
